His Excellency Ambassador of Norway to India, Royal Norwegian Embassy Mr. Hans Jacob Frydenlund visited to the Resilience project site in Cuttack, Odisha during 27th and 28th November 2022 with his team Ms. Marit Marie Strand, Counsellor – Head of Cooperation Climate, Energy, Health, Higher Education and Mr. Johan Thomas Bjerkem, Second Secretary. Creating more Plant doctors: Upscaling the Plant Clinic initiative under the Resilience Project to build farmer’s capacity

With support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy, the Climate Resilience project is being implemented in Assam and Odisha states since October 2018. By increasing resilience and bolstering the production and value chains for the agri-product markets, the project intends to increase the agricultural productivity, adaptive capacity, and livelihoods of smallholders to climate and economic changes.

Building Resilient Farming Systems – Role of Champion farmers in strengthening Horizontal Knowledge Transfer

Today, farmers, particularly smallholders, face many constraints and challenges in their farming issues. Climate change is one of the main drivers that is adversely affecting the crop production especially in Climate Hotspots.. To overcome the main challenges of climate change, enhancing the capacity of the smallholders to adopt Climate-smart technologies are crucial. The “Resilience” project is taking efforts to build the adaptive capacity of the men and women farmers through continuous capacity building to adapt to the changing climatic conditions coupled with market and other drivers.
